The historic La Residence in Hue, Vietnam, will reopen in February as the second hotel under the Azerai brand.
Azerai was founded by renowned Indonesian hotelier Adrian Zecha, founder of Aman Resorts.
The reopening of the hotel as the Azerai La Residence, Hue follows an extensive renovation of the 1930s-era mansion in the former imperial capital of Vietnam.
Anchored by a colonial mansion with two wings built in 2005, the 122-room hotel sits on the banks of the Perfume River with views of the Flagtower Bastion and the 1804-built Citadel on the river’s north bank.
The first hotel under the new brand, the 60-room Azerai Can Tho, opened on the Mekong Delta last spring.
